Goals of Jewish Education
The purpose of our educational program is to strengthen the Jewish identity and their commitment to G-d, Judaism and the Jewish People.
In order to achieve this goal, we believe that it is essential that our children - and their parents - acquire a good knowledge of their Jewish heritage, major beliefs, customs and ceremonies of the Jewish religion, the Hebrew Scriptures, the history of the Jewish people and the Hebrew languague.
Our teachers create a positive atmosphere in our school, so that the learning process is an enjoyable experience.
Schedule
Classess begin in Early September and continue through May.
Wednesdays - All religious school grades will meet from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM
First Friday of each month - Class starts at 5:00 PM for one hour, followed by family service and dinner.
Every Sunday - 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM - Classes will focus on traditions and celebrations with Rabbi Billy. This includes the monthly Mitzvha Project for adults and children.
Students are always encouraged to participate in Shabbat morning services.
All dates should be confirmed with the school calendar, provided by the office.
Curriculum
Kindergarten, First, Second & Third Grades
The Students will learn about their heritage through the telling of stories and various holiday activities. They will also learn Hebrew songs, prayers, learn to recognize Hebrew letters, and read simple Hebrew words.

Fourth and Fifth Grades
The Students will continue their study of Jewish history from the period of Joshua until the Middle Ages. They will learn about the basic principles of Jewish ethics through storytelling and class discussion, and become familiar with the main passages of the Friday night and Saturday morning services.

Sixth and Seventh Grades
The students will learn about Jewish history from biblical times to our days. They will continue their study of Jewish religion and the meaning of prayer, in order to prepare themselves for their Bar / Bat Mitzvah celebration.
Program will include modern Hebrew, Prayer book Hebrew, Music and melodies of the service, and Judaics.
Eighth and Ninth Grades
Students and their parents are invited to participate in all aspects of Congregational activities as well as engage in the study of various topics. Students are encouraged to attend Hebrew High School on Tuesday evenings. This is a community-wide program offering a variety of interesting courses and enabling Jewish youth to stay connected with their peers and Jewish role-models.
